Georgiana Keable

GEORGIANA KEABLE is a pioneer for the renaissance of storytelling and she likes adventures. She founded ‘Fortellerhuset’ (The Storytelling House), the Norwegian Storytelling Festival and Storytelling Radio, and received Oslo’s Artists Prize for an outstanding contribution to cultural life. Leading work for biodiversity and storytelling, she has taken thousands of teenagers on the Norwegian Pilgrims Way and on botanical story adventures, prompting 12-year-olds to spontaneously hug trees and learn their names. In the remote Lofoten Islands, collecting stories by day and sleeping in a hammock, every stranger had a tale of connection with nature. Her prizewinning book The Natural Storyteller was published by Hawthorn Press, who then commissioned Fairytales, Families and Forests (2023). She lives in Tangen, Norway.
