A 2023 BRITISH BOOK DESIGN AND PRODUCTION AWARD WINNER

This limited edition collates some of the most moving and poignant letters to be sent by passengers from RMS Titanic, prior to and post her untimely sinking in the early hours of 15 April 1912.

Carefully curated by George Behe, this selection of letters tells the lamentable story in the unique and powerful way only true first-hand accounts can. Included are biographies of each writer, an introduction by George Behe and a foreword by Bob Richardson, Library Manager at St Bride Library, London.

Set and cast in ‘Monotype’ Imprint with Gill Sans Light and Caslon display. The Imprint typeface was designed in 1912, the year of Titanic’s fateful voyage.

This edition has been letterpress-printed on 150gsm Bockingford mould-made paper and handbound at the craft bindery of Blissetts, Royal Warrant Holders in London. Each copy contains a piece of letterpress printed ephemera, reproduced from original material.

You should be very proud of your work - it is a splendid piece of letterpress and beautifully bound. The content also provides an important addition to my Titanic knowledge and the volume now sits proudly on my bookshelves.

Thank you again for my favourite birthday gift in many years.

B. Richardson (verified purchaser),

The perfect simplicity of Letters from Titanic is what makes it such a special commemorative book. The red and white contrasting cover, crisp reproduction of period letters and photos, and high-quality case binding all contribute to a premium and timeless feel.
